At Tactek Data Systems, we continually search for opportunities to improve our service. This post outlines the latest changes to our Website Monitoring service.
- The control panel has been reorganized to make features easier to locate.
- More information about monitored websites, such as the last check time and status, is now displayed right on the main control panel page.
- A help feature has been added for status codes to help our customers identify the meanings of common status codes.
Announcing Website Monitoring Service
Tactek Data Systems is proud to announce our new website availability monitoring service. Our service will connect to your website every 10 minutes and report back the status of the connection. If the status changes, you can be alerted by text message or e-mail. Our website monitoring service is available for as low as $1 (USD) per month, and all new sign-ups receive the first month of monitoring free. Unlike other providers, there are no additional fees for text message1 notifications or for connections to SSL (https://) websites.
Key Features Include:
- Connection to standard (http://) or secure (https://) websites.
- Connections allowed on non-standard ports (e.g. http://www.mywebsite.com:8080).
- Notification to mobile devices (SMS/MMS Text Message).
- Notification to e-mail.
- Status change notification – not only “Up” and “Down” notification.
- Monitor multiple websites with a single account.
- Double-checking to reduce false-positives.
- Ability to disable notifications (such as during site maintenance).
- Easy to identify in your server access logs.
- 10-minute monitoring cycle.
We’re also building new features to improve our service and always open to feature suggestions from our customers.
